Questions we get before people sign up
- How do voice minutes work?
- We bill on inbound voice minutes per month. A typical takeout order runs 90 to 120 seconds. A reservation runs 45 to 75. Most Starter restaurants land between 600 and 800 minutes.
- What happens if I go over?
- Nothing breaks. We watch your usage and reach out before you hit the cap. Overage is 25¢ a minute, though for most restaurants the cheaper move is to bump up a tier.
- Is there a setup fee?
- No. Onboarding takes one 45-minute call. We handle menu upload, voice selection, and your first integration.
- Can I bring my own phone number?
- Yes. We can port your number, or you can leave it where it lives and forward calls to a number we provision. Whichever is less disruptive.
- Can I cancel anytime?
- Yes. Month-to-month, no contracts. Cancel mid-cycle and service runs through the end of the period.
- Do you support Spanish, French, or other languages?
- Yes. Ocrila speaks dozens of languages and switches mid-call when the caller does. US restaurants default to English first; we can flip that if your customer base calls for it.
- What about PCI or payment data?
- Ocrila does not take card payments over the phone. Customers pay at pickup or at the table, the way most takeout already works. For Square restaurants we can also text a hosted Square pay-by-link after the call — the customer pays through Square's checkout and we never touch card data. Ask if you'd like that turned on.
Still doing the math?
Send us last month's call logs and we'll walk through them with you in 20 minutes. No pitch deck.
